Travel Theme: Details

We recently enjoyed a day trip to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto. While trying to decide what to share for this post I was flooded with ideas. Which of the (not enough) photos do I pick? Some of the gems/minerals? No..I used one of those photos for the Phoneography Challenge. Some of the photos of the building or the near by buildings? No..they’ll be a better fit for the WP Photo Challenge: Scale. Then I found them. These were in the Samuel European Galleries

The detail etched into this suit of armor is beautiful. I wish I had thought to take a photo of the explanation of this piece. For now I’ll just have to wonder…who was this so carefully crafted for?
