WP Photo Challenge: Today Was a Good Day

It was the day we had booked to celebrate our 20 year anniversary of our last ‘first date’.  In late April we knew the weather could be unpredictable at best, but this was the only weekend we had “free”. As it turned out it was amazingly good weather. Warm and sunny.

A walk in the Niagara Parks Commission Botanical Gardens was wonderful. Pops of new spring colour and warm sunshine on our faces.

We also enjoyed a walk around Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, enjoying the gardens of the old homes and the boutique shops along the main road. We strolled down to the Festival Theatre to take in a production. The Festival Theatre is one of four theaters that are part of the Shaw Festival.

We topped off the day by having dinner at The Angel Inn. It’s like stepping back in time, very cozy!  We were seated next to the fire place, which was a perfect way to kept the evening chill away. The food was delicious! Good down to earth, melt in your mouth yummy!

But most of all it was a good day because of who I was enjoying the warm spring day with.

I have a Windows phone (Nokia Lumia 920) so I decided to play with PicsArt so display a few memories of our good day.
