Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Challengers Choice ~ Bamboo

DSCF6047

While we were waiting to see the panda twins at The Toronto Zoo I snapped a few glimpses of our surroundings. I’m not exactly sure why I find this photo so pleasing. Perhaps it’s the colours contrasting? the textures? the lighting? Bamboo holds such fascination for me. It’s so resilient, so strong and apparently delicious. (see: Silently Snacking)

Ah c’est la vie. I’ll just hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Kindly visit Lens and Pens by Sally to see what other challengers wanted to share today.

Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind. ~ Bruce Lee

  1. Oh, joy, you’ve picked one of my favorites to use in the garden. Bamboo has so many dimensions to it, including character and resilience, longevity, design possibilities, uses in building and food, and are edible for those pandas that you saw. Your image has an abstract quality that lends to various interpretations, and yet we know its bamboo. Happy Photo Challenge.
