If we were having coffee…
Come on in. Actually, lets grab a blanket and sit on the porch. It is Earth Day, so we should be out there enjoying our planet!
Would you like a coffee or tea?
It seems like yesterday that I was fussing about the cost of socks and wondering how I was going to adjust to my daughter living away from home. Yet here I am with ONE MORE SLEEP until I get to go pick her up from university. I lived and she thrived!
Actually, I feel like these past several months that she’s not the only one who grew. She’s a young lady now with a hint of the little girl 😉 I feel like I’m adjusting to this new stage of ‘me’. In January I decided to make a separate blog that more of a journal and I’m enjoying my regular posts there. I’ve had a blog for my yarn art (crochet) for a while now. I find it easier to organize visually with separate blogs than having different pages here.
Can I top up your beverage? Do you want an extra blanket?
Here at Patchwork Ponderings, I’m enjoying the freedom of sharing whatever catches my interest. Did you know that Canada’s Constitution and Charter of Rights are 35 years old this week? In my Grateful for… weekly post, I shared about a neighbour cleaning our wooded area and a stranger’s kind words.
I’m still feeling the delightful surprise that she stopped me to tell me that she liked my dress. I was feeling self-conscious yet proud of me. I haven’t blogged about it on Just Breathe yet but I hit a milestone in my weight loss journey this week and that lovely stranger just put the shine on an already special week.
Thanks for stopping by. What has added to your happiness this week? Kindly visit Nerd in the Brain to find the link up, where you’ll find more blogs to share a coffee with.
Glad for the reminders about Earth Day. I will post some pictures of my earth tomorrow. You sound like your are adjusting to the “empty nest”.

I am on the brink of empty nest too. My youngest is going to graduate high school in a less than 2 months! My two other children are living their own lives in other states, apparently just fine without me making sure they wake up in time, eat regular home cooked meals and have clean clothes to wear. So I understand that feeling of sad/proud. 🙂 I did the same thing as you with starting a new blog for my non-crochet interests. It just seemed like the best thing to do. I enjoy reading everyone else’s combined interest blogs but I view Tanglewood Knots as a brand that I may some day want to evolve into a business. Tanglewood Tapestry is for all of the other threads that weave my life. Thank you for the chat and coffee. The blanket was very soft, warm and appreciated as it is a bit chilly tonight. 🙂

Thank you for visiting. I do have to giggle. I still have my “baby” home for two more years before he graduation. I know my posts make it sound like my last has just left the nest. 🙂

I had a happiness filled Earth Day celebration, which was marred by seeing the big fire break out in Souther AZ on our way back to Tucson…
