Transmogrify ~ Flags: WP Photo Challenge

I love visiting the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls Canada. The lights transform the night and spark my imagination. This display has been one of my favourites for years. The lights slowly transform the flag from the American to the Canadian flag.

There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast. ~ Charles Dickens

Tomorrow we get to see the children transformed into turtles, zombies and magical creatures. After we honour our service people on November 11, we’ll look forward to the transmogrifing of our Parkway.  🙂 Where does your imagination take you?

Project Maple

Would you like to help out in an exhibit to be displayed in Ottawa, our nations capital, in 2017?

Next year is the 150th birthday for Canada. Like other exhibits we have done that feature our global community, we are asking for help for the construction of the large Maple Tree to be on exhibit in Ottawa.

Specific instructions included in the original post include:

All submissions should be sent to us by November 1, 2016 so we can construct the tree to have it ready on time.

Grateful for a new challenge

Over the past week I’ve started a new crochet project. I haven’t tried one this complicated 20160407_153407before. There’s a lot of detailed instructions to follow.  It’s good to have something new yet familiar to spend time doing. I’m grateful that I have lots to learn in a hobby that I love.

I’m not too far into it but if you’d like a peek I posted about it in my crochet blog. Crochet Kisses and Butterfly Kisses.

What are you grateful for this week?

Colline posted about being grateful for woodworking!
